Neurosurgeon Dr. Erik Parker was 1 of 3 neurosurgeons involved in my 5/5/05 brain surgery. At the 11/12/06 Brain Tumor Awareness Day at NYU, I finally got to meet him in person. Dr. Parker reminded me that we had already met when he made his "rounds" after surgery, but I do not remember those moments -- mostly because I was recovering and was a bit out of it. In any case, it was great to talk with him (in a more lucid state) and thank him in person for assisting with my brain surgery.
