Bizarre stories happen. Christina is a nurse assigned to me in the Recovery Room after surgery. It turns out that she was 1 of 128 other people who marched in the 1987 Garfield Cadets Drum & Bugle Corps when we won the DCI World Championship. Unbelievable coincidence...especially considering that 2 of my partners at Rivermine Software were part of this '87 corps, as well. Even wilder is the fact that Christina's sister, Lisa, has "trumpet- subbed" in my brass quintet at Easter and Christmas gigs in D.C. the last several years. Too strange to make up; it could only be God-sent!
