Chemical analysis based on results of the MRI with Spectroscopy. First, a spectrum of chemicals is examined in a healthy part of the brain. Then, the same spectrum of chemicals is examined in about a half dozen parts of the actual brain tumor. The chemical spectrums from the brain tumor can then be compared to the chemical spectrums from the healthy brain cells. Finally, analysis reveals which chemicals are the same and which are different. It is generally "good" when the chemical spectrums are the same. It is generally "of concern" when the chemical spectrums are different.
